Besides the "Free Market", the so-called fifth season, the Musikschau der Nationen® has been held for more than 41 years at the Bremer Stadthalle.
Since 1965 the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e. V. - a charitable organisation acting on behalf of the Federal Government - has been organising this most popular event known far beyond our frontiers. Doubtlessly, it is one of the most important brass band concerts in Europe.
The Musikschau der Nationen® is a Marching show in which, throughout four days, orchestras, singers and dance groups convey a colourful musical picture of countries.

As from 1965, more than 24.800 participants in 295 brass bands, dancers, singers and folklore groups have participated in more than 230 events. Groups from more than 70 nations have performed before an audience counting more than 1,2 million spectators.
The show of some three hours duration is concluded by a great finale in which the entirety of the musicians and dancers are participating.
